Neway International are seeking two Administrative Assistants / Business Support Officers to join our client, Conwy County Borough Council.

Location: Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough, LL29 7AZ
Hours: 37 per week, Monday–Friday
Start date: 06 April 2026
Duration: 12 weeks (with potential extension)
Employment type: Temporary
Rate: PAYE £13.05 per hour / Umbrella £16.88 per hour


About the Client
Conwy County Borough Council’s Integrated Adult and Community Services Directorate delivers high‑quality, person‑centred support to residents across the region. The service is committed to safeguarding, timely intervention, and effective multi‑agency working, ensuring that all processes meet statutory requirements and uphold the Council’s core values.

The Role
The successful post holders will join the Single Point of Access Team, providing professional administrative and business support to Social Care teams. This role involves handling sensitive and confidential information, supporting call handling and screening, and ensuring all work complies with Data Protection legislation and internal procedures. You will contribute to the delivery of an efficient, accurate and responsive service within statutory timescales.

This is an office‑based position at Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay. Remote working is not available. Candidates must live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Key Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality administrative and business support to Social Care teams

Handle, process and record sensitive and confidential safeguarding information

Support call handling, screening and triage processes

Maintain accurate records and data in line with statutory and internal requirements

Ensure compliance with Data Protection, organisational policies and service procedures

Contribute to efficient workflow management and timely completion of tasks

Work collaboratively within a busy, multi‑disciplinary environment

Candidate Requirements
Good standard of education (5 GCSEs or equivalent)

Strong technology and software skills

Knowledge of WCCIS or similar client database

Accurate typing skills and strong active listening abilities

Excellent organisation, planning and problem‑solving skills

Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills

Ability to converse bilingually in Welsh and English

Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Colwyn Bay
