A friendly and inclusive primary school in Oldham is looking to appoint a SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join their supportive staff team. Working closely with teachers and the SEN support team, you will help pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2 access learning, build confidence, and feel supported within the classroom environment.
As a SEN Classroom Support Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist teachers in delivering adapted learning activities and targeted interventions
• Support pupils with communication, social development, and emotional regulation
• Implement strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning
• Encourage independence, engagement, and positive participation in lessons
• Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff
Your work will help create a structured, positive, and nurturing classroom environment where every pupil feels encouraged to succeed.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Experience supporting children within an SEN or educational setting
