Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the school:

We are partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rochdale that is looking to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team as soon as possible.

This full-time position involves supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including children with a range of additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and communication challenges. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important, as developing positive relationships with pupils plays a vital role in supporting their social development and engagement with learning.

About the role as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and tailored interventions
- Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive routines throughout the school day
- Contribute to progress tracking and communicate regularly with the wider support team

What We're Looking For from a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively
- A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
- Strong understanding of Autism and SEND
- A relevant TA qualification

To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
