A supportive and inclusive primary school in Oldham is looking to appoint a dedicated Inclusive SEN Support Assistant to work with pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to play an active role in helping pupils access learning in a nurturing and structured environment.

As an Inclusive SEN Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils' individual learning needs
• Support children with speech, language and communication needs, including non-verbal learners
• Assist pupils with Autism (ASC), sensory needs, and social communication differences
• Use positive and consistent behaviour strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs
• Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons and remove barriers to learning
• Encourage pupils to build confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support ongoing development

You will play a key role in ensuring pupils feel supported, included, and able to thrive in their learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting
• Has a strong understanding of autism and behaviour support approaches
• Is patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Demonstrates a resilient, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Feels confident supporting pupils across both KS1 and KS2
