As a SEN Learning Support Assistant in Oldham, Greater Manchester, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and tailored assistance to students with a wide range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Implementing carefully crafted intervention programmes to address the specific needs of each student
- Assisting with the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate lessons, adapting materials and resources as required
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to help students access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals
- Fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and empowers each child to reach their full potential
- Collaborating with the teaching team to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective strategies to support student development
- Maintaining detailed records and contributing to the ongoing assessment and review of student progress
