Long Term Futures are recruiting a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Hackney, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone confident managing behaviour, supporting emotional regulation and helping young people re-engage with learning in a structured secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support across KS3 and KS4
- Support students with emotional regulation and engagement in lessons
- Implement behaviour support plans and restorative approaches
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff and teaching staff
- Support pupils during lessons and unstructured times
- Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting students with behavioural or SEMH needs
- Confidence working in a secondary school setting
- A calm, consistent and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
- Background in mentoring, youth work, SEN or pastoral roles (desirable)
