Full Time | Term Time Only | Immediate Start
Up to £125 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
We are recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students within a secondary school setting in Barking and Ilford, working closely with specific year groups as a key point of contact for pupils and classes.
This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone confident supporting behaviour, engagement and pastoral needs. You will work with students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them manage behaviour, develop positive routines and remain engaged with learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key point of contact for designated year groups
- Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and pastoral support
- Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
- Work closely with pastoral leads, SEN staff and teaching teams
- Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times
- Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion across the school
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting students with behavioural or pastoral needs
- Confidence working in a secondary school environment
- A calm, consistent and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
- Background in youth work, mentoring, SEN or pastoral roles (desirable)
