Job Title: Assessor/Trainer – Electrical Installations
Salary: £31,110 – £36,157 per annum
Location: Cambridge
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Assessor/Trainer in Electrical Installations to join a leading Further Education provider’s Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industry professional who is passionate about developing apprentices and supporting the next generation of electrical engineers.

About the Role In this role, you will oversee a caseload of electrical apprentices, guiding them throughout their learning journey. You will play a key part in developing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours, ensuring they are fully prepared for successful End Point Assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality training and ongoing learner support
- Conducting workplace assessments and progress reviews
- Monitoring and recording apprentice progress
- Preparing learners for End Point Assessment
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers
- Supporting business development initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and Health & Safety
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records
The role offers flexible working arrangements, including a blend of on-site delivery, workplace visits, and remote administrative work.
What We’re Looking For To be successful, candidates should have:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation
- Substantial, relevant industry experience
- Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (desirable)
- Previous experience in teaching or assessing
- Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident IT skills and use of digital systems
- A flexible and collaborative approach to work
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use, or the ability to travel across Cambridgeshire and neighbouring areas
