Summary

Assessor/Trainer – Civil Engineering

Are you an experienced Civil Engineering professional with a passion for mentoring and training the next generation? We are seeking a dedicated Assessor/Trainer to join a dynamic team in Cambridge, supporting apprentices to achieve success in their careers.

What you’ll do:

- Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing high-quality coaching, mentoring, and training
- Conduct progress reviews and provide constructive feedback to learners and employers
- Support learners in developing portfolios and preparing for End Point Assessments (EPA)
- Work closely with employers to identify suitable tasks and training opportunities
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of learner progress
- Deliver targeted training to develop learners’ wider skills
- Maintain compliance with apprenticeship standards, awarding body requirements, and health & safety regulations

What we’re looking for:

- Relevant Civil Engineering qualification and strong industry experience
- Level 3 vocational qualification (essential)
- Level 3 TAQA qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (desirable)
- Understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
- A passion for training and mentoring learners
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle
