Summary

Assessor/Trainer – Electrical Installations

Are you an experienced Electrical Installations professional with a passion for mentoring and training the next generation? We are recruiting a Trainer/Assessor to join a dynamic Construction team in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise to shape apprentices’ careers while enjoying a supportive and innovative working environment.

What you’ll do:

- Manage a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through their learning journey
- Deliver high-quality training, coaching, and support
- Conduct workplace assessments and progress reviews
- Monitor, track, and record apprentice progress accurately
- Prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers
- Contribute to business development initiatives and employer engagement
- Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and Health & Safety
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation

This role offers agile working, combining on-site teaching, workplace visits, and remote administrative tasks.

What we’re looking for:

- Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation
- Significant industry experience in Electrical Installation
- Assessor and/or IQA qualification (desirable)
- Teaching or assessing experience (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence using IT systems and digital tools
- Flexibility, professionalism, and a collaborative approach
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle, or ability to travel across Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties
