Key responsibilities:
Responsible for career management advice and the associated Joint Personnel Admin (JPA) inputs specifically for the Army Regular, Reserve, Army Cadet Force (ACF) and Combined Cadet Forces Military Personnel within HQ SW Area of Responsibility (AoR).
The Implementation and promulgation of MS policy and the provision of career management advice for all Officers (Regular/Reserve) and Army Reserves Soldiers within HQ SW AoR.
Provide the appropriate career management advice to all regional Units and support requests from superior authorities; HQ Regional Command (RC) and the Army Personnel Centre (APC) as necessary.
Provide Terms and Conditions of Service (TACOS) advice and JPA administrative assistance to CCF (Combined Cadet Forces) Officers and their Permanent Support Staff.
Assist with the delivery of Unit MS self-assessment as directed by the APC mandated assurance regime.
Responsible for Workforce planning advice and MS specific JPA support.
Oversee the headquarters’ establishment and Workforce Planning by checking forthcoming gaps are advertised and that up-to-date job descriptions are produced for the appropriate selection board.
Process applications from Regular soldiers seeking a ‘Late Entry’ commission or Reserve soldiers seeking a ‘Senior Soldier Entry’ commission.
Collate and process bi-annual Honours and Awards submissions and promulgate the results.
Provide advice on the military annual reporting process.
Support the Senior Leadership Teams in meeting their annual report writing objectives.
Ensure all appraisals that pass through the HQ are quality checked in line with policy (JSP 757).
Facilitate the delivery of appraisal report writing training as required.
Considering the Guidance published in relation to deadlines and also remaining mindful of GDPR at all times.
Keeping up to date with publications relating to MS is vital, proactively reviewing newer versions once published is crucial.
To complete mandatory training as per MOD Guidelines.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
