Summary
Army Digital Services (ADS) is part of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) department, part of the Directorate of Information with the Army Headquarters. ADS is the Army’s supplier of choice for the design, development and support of applications and services to provide digital enablement of the Army’s processes. It therefore supports the Army’s ambitious and innovative modernisation and transformation agenda. ADS enables this digital transformation by developing bespoke software, hosting applications, including the Army Data Warehouse and conducting data analytics.
The role of a business analyst is to support the ADS agile delivery teams and product stakeholders with application development projects by identifying and comparing the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes. Business analysts are expected to understand the impact of potential changes and how business processes, systems, data, roles and responsibilities interact and are responsible for communicating these impacts with the relevant stakeholders.
The role will work as part of a team of Civil Servants and Military staff supporting the Army and wider Defence with defined ITIL processes and procedures. This role will also provide the opportunity to assist with the successful delivery of broader digital projects for Army and Defence organisations seeking digital transformation applications and services.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Support ADS Delivery teams with identifying, investigating and proposing options for customer requested improvements and minor changes to their digital solutions
Support ADS leadership with continuous improvement activity related to business processes and procedures, aligned to the ADS Operating Model
Support the discovery of new digital solution requirements, working with product stakeholders and ADS Delivery teams to ensure requirements are in line with business processes and policies
Continually review the user experience of ADS digital solutions alongside other technical teams within the CTO pillar, ensuring proposed options are in line with the latest W3C Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other business-related policies
Produce and maintain application user guides for ADS owned applications and support the delivery of user training sessions as required.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
Please note, candidates will be redirected to the Civil Service Jobs website where you will need to submit your application form.
