As the Position Data Analyst, you will provide subject matter expert advice and guidance, across the Army, on your range of responsibilities. You will engage with Defence to ensure that Army requirements are understood and delivered through the new Human Resource Management System that will be based on Oracle Fusion.
This role will support the Army People and Workforce Planning teams through the delivery of:
Position and related people data subject matter expertise
The creation of dashboards and reports that present the data, information about the data and issues with the data, in a clear and user-friendly way
You will engage with the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Strategic Command, and at the Defence level, Defence Business Services and the MOD Head Office function
As a Position Data Analyst in the People Digital and Data team you will:
Provide subject matter expert advice on organisational structure, positional and people data, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts both within the team and the wider business
Ensure that data is understood, its quality is known, it is fit for purpose and, where needed, contribute to data cleansing activities
Support Army Workforce Planning and People Functions by developing and maintaining one off and recurring organisational structure, position and workforce analysis, insight and data products. This will involve using tools such as MS PowerBi, Oracle OASIS and Alterian SAS, and include working with broader teams to develop products
Support organisational structure and position data governance, including assisting with the coordination and facilitation of Governance meetings
Collate and analyse data sets aligned to the design of the Army, organisation structure, position, and employee life cycles
Work with a range of stakeholders to gather the data, information, and knowledge necessary to build capability across business areas and deliver high quality analysis products
Developing the skills, knowledge, and capability of stakeholders in order that they can practice evidence-based practice making
Supporting Directorate wide ad hoc data and analysis projects
