The Defence Learning & Management Capability (DLMC) is a forward-thinking digital transformation programme which is mandated to deliver and sustainably support an integrated, dynamic learning and management environment for the Whole Force. The programme will enhance access to education and training opportunities and improve management information and business intelligence which will be used to optimise learning across Defence.
Comprising a range of interoperable and complementary services, each one adding specific, distinct value, DLMC will provide a coherent, consistent and targeted user experience that surpasses everything that has come before it. The unremitting advance of digital technology and the ever-changing world in which Defence operates makes it increasingly important to ensure our people have the right skills and expertise, in the right place, at the right time.
The DLMC Project delivery roles are responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Programme through Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) policies and process as well as having a coherence and assurance role.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive support to the Programme Manager and Programme Officer Manager in coordinating and delivering the DLMC vision through programme and project management processes.
Taking direction from the PMO Manager, the post holder will develop and maintain governance, drive and improve processes and handle the information artefacts.
Undertake the day-to-day activities in the PMO alongside team members, guiding on policies and processes and providing accurate reporting material in good time to the relevant stakeholders.
Undertake Programme planning – maintaining the schedule, tracking and adjusting as necessary.
Use planning and reporting tools to update programme records, using Project Online, MS Teams Planner & MS SharePoint.
Adopt the team’s use of Office 365 tools to provide records and advising on modern ways of working, particularly with regards to information management.
Input into, facilitate and support governance forums. This will involve engagement with various civilian grades and military ranks.
Production/maintenance of appropriate documentation such as Governance TORS, core attendee records, production of slide packs and Records of Actions & Decisions (ROADS) for governance boards which will be shared to stakeholders promptly.
