This post will suit someone wishing to or already embarking on a career in Finance as part of the MOD. You will be working alongside others which gives the benefits of shared experience and fostering best practice whilst becoming a key member of the team delivering information to the FBP and Senior Leadership Team. The Finance Manager is a vital role delivering in year management, where you can make a difference within an interesting and fast paced organisation.
Key responsibilities:
Managing the in-year Management (IYM) reporting process including timely submissions AITC’s Higher Command, in accordance with deadlines and monthly timetable.
Responsible for investigating and analysing variances and deciding how to mitigate the issue ensuring that you report your decisions to the Senior Leadership Team.
Upload and submit the monthly in year position and budgets on the Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting (PB&F) tool.
Provide support to the Senior Finance Manager during the ABC process, creating usable excel workbooks and input of the completed AITC ABC position on PB&F once consolidated and agreed by the Senior Leadership Team.
Manage the monthly AITC Operational Group (Op Group) finance reviews, setting out the agenda, running the reviews and ensuring records of decisions/minutes are captured and published.
Line manager responsibilities.
