Summary
The successful candidate will provide planning assurance, advice, mentoring, support and guidance to Adventurous Training Expedition Leaders, Unit Adventurous Training Officers and Activity Risk Owners and lead and manage a small team of contracted staff.
You will work in the Group Headquarters in Upavon as part of a small team. You will also be required to provide guidance, support mentoring and planning advice to Expedition Leaders and the Army’s Unit Adventurous Training Officers.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee and scrutinise the expedition application process for Army organisations in the South-west and overseas.
Allocate and manage regional funding to expeditions.
Advise expeditions on engagement and communication requirements.
Manage expedition clearance applications with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and British High Commission/British Embassy Defence Sections.
Ensure the timely production of Post Exercise Reports.
Deliver the Unit Adventurous Training Officers online course and conduct qualification assurance checks.
Support Adventurous Training policy development.
Manage expedition planning Share Point site.
