Our client is looking for a ICT Senior Business Partner. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in ICT service delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will have a proven ability to align technology solutions with evolving business change agendas, especially within complex or public sector environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, practical experience in service improvement, and exceptional interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders across C-suite and Executive levels. This hybrid role involves working flexibly across Thames Valley and Hampshire, with on-site presence varying based on business needs—ranging from once to three times per week. Experience in Business Relationship Management (BRM), Service Delivery, ITIL frameworks, and user-centric service design is essential. Familiarity with business case development, supplier management, process mapping, and the MS Office suite (including Teams) is expected. Prior experience in the policing or Home Office sectors is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
To be the strategic liaison between ICT and key business stakeholders in both Forces. The role involves:
Managing ICT service delivery and relationships.
Aligning ICT planning with business goals.
Co-creating technology solutions to meet operational and strategic priorities.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain deep understanding of both Forces’ business needs.
Customer Portfolio Leadership: Lead a portfolio of customers to ensure ICT services are value-adding and fit for purpose.
ICT as a Strategic Partner: Promote the value ICT brings to achieving business goals.
Service Improvement: Lead delivery of Continuous Service Improvement Plans.
Strategic Alignment: Gain agreement for common ICT approaches to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
Senior Engagement: Build high-level relationships across Forces and external agencies.
Service Agreements: Manage and negotiate SLA and OLA commitments.
Business Case Leadership: Validate ICT needs, feasibility studies, and benefits justification.
Change Programme Involvement: Align ICT projects with Force-wide transformation initiatives.
Best Practice: Embed best practice in business engagement and service delivery.
Team Development: Lead and develop the Business Partner team.
Deputy Responsibilities: Represent Head of Business Services as needed.
Prioritisation and Influence: Negotiate priorities for ICT delivery across senior stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
Strong ICT management background in complex, service-led environments.
Deep knowledge of:
IT environments
Customer value chains
Business improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma)
Business case development and procurement documentation
Economics of service delivery
Experience at Director level, with an ability to influence without authority.
Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ITIL frameworks.
Ability to travel flexibly – full UK driving licence required.
Desirable Requirements:
Public sector or policing experience.
Experience working in federated or multi-agency environments.
Familiarity with national policing ICT systems.
