Transformation Finance Business Partner - Margin Enhancement & Strategic Initiatives

We are looking for a high-quality, dynamic and commercially astute candidate to hit the ground running as a Transformation Finance Business Partner on a 12-month FTC, with potential to extend.

This role will act as a key liaison between Finance and transformation teams, providing financial insight and robust challenge to ensure accurate tracking and timely verification of finance savings, in addition to supporting the successful delivery of and maximising the value of the Group's Margin Enhancement Initiatives (MEI).

Mitie has a track record of delivering margin enhancement savings to offset inflation and improve profit margins. Continued margin enhancement through strategic initiatives is a core element of Mitie's strategy to mitigate financial headwinds such as National Insurance increases and deliver on the Group's strategic margin targets. Publicly shared initiatives to reach the Group's Target Operating Model (TOM) include increasing self-delivery, redefining optimal account structures and organisational design, leveraging technology and AI, continued outsourcing of shared services and continued consolidation of core systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will have business partnering or FP&A experience, commercial experience with transformation programmes or business change, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work within a large complex organisation and have strong excel and written presentation skills.

Key responsibilities:

-Business Partnering: Partner with the workstream leads to produce budgets and forecasts underpinned by financial modelling and aligned with management. Be the workstreams' go-to Finance contact.

-Financial Planning & Analysis:Develop and maintain robust financial models to assess the impact of margin enhancement initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and assumption driven scenario planning.

-Performance Tracking:Monitor the financial performance of transformation programs, including the input and verification of savings in the Group's performance tracking systems.

-Reporting: Preparation of monthly financial reporting for the Group's Board and MGX (Management Executive). Providing a clarity of messaging across the financial and operational progress of complex projects is critical to enable senior management to make effective strategic decisions.

-Operational Insight:Provide financial insight during organizational changes, including restructures, process improvements, and technology implementations. Identify risks and opportunities to be escalated to senior management and partner with workstream leads to develop corrective actions.

-Stakeholder Management:Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Divisional Finance teams, workstream sponsors/leads and central senior management to drive alignment and accountability.

-Governance:Ensure transformation projects adhere to established strategic programme governance standards and Group reporting requirements both financially and operationally.

-Process improvement: Proactively identify opportunities that arise during wider project work performed. Maintain a sceptical and challenging mind - have the vision of what good looks like and call out where you see opportunities within the business to drive efficiency and savings.
