We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Practitioner (Waking Night) to join our team at LBS-007, providing essential support to our residents overnight. In this role, you will work within a dynamic environment, catering to the needs of individuals who require assistance and care at night. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for our residents, promoting their well-being and independence during the nighttime hours. The role includes monitoring residents' welfare, adhering to care plans, and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies that may arise. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive living environment, supporting social interaction and personal development while maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' individual rights. The successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with other staff members and will be committed to delivering high-quality care that prioritizes residents' needs. A key aspect of this position is the ability to remain alert and responsive throughout the night, ensuring that all residents feel secure and cared for. Responsibilities
Provide waking night support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
Monitor residents' welfare and report any concerns or incidents to management promptly.
Respond to residents' needs, offering assistance or emotional support as required.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Engage in social activities and promote resident interaction and community building during night shifts.
Record observations and interactions accurately in care documentation and logs.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and continuity of care for residents.
Requirements
Proven experience in a support or care role, preferably within a residential setting.
A genuine passion for working with individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport swiftly.
Ability to remain alert and responsive during the night, demonstrating strong observation skills.
Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care or equivalent experience.
Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to changing situations, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Hours Per Week: 40.00
Start Time: 21:45
End Time: 07:45
Pay Per Hour: £18.26
Location: Southwark, South East London
