Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for Anglia Ruskin University who require Data Centre Technical Analyst on a permanent position.
You will manage the end-to-end implementation, operation and security of the systems and services hosted in our data centre(s) and cloud, ensuring that they meet our strategic and operational requirements.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and administer a suite of onsite infrastructure along with associated private and selected public cloud resources, including the systems, servers, storage, software, applications, databases and data that comprise our information and communications technology (ICT) services.
- Schedule and supervise regular preventative maintenance of systems and services including data backup operations
- Develop, document, review, maintain and promote standards, processes and procedures
- Lead a team of Analysts associated with your discipline.
- Act as technical lead on projects and large-scale business-as-usual activities.
- Provide regular consumption and usage reports to the Head of Core Infrastructure and our IT Services (ITS) Senior Management Team to inform current operation, future development and financial planning.
Role Requirements
- Extensive experience of managing a medium-scaled enterprise data centre environment
- Substantial experience of managing Storage Area Networks and fabrics
- Nutanix server and virtualisation technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of installing, managing and performance-tuning of two or more of the following: Microsoft server operating systems and Active Directory, Microsoft Azure integration, Data centre virtualisation and management in a corporate environment.
- Practical experience of corporate-scaled system virtualisation in either a private or public cloud.
- Domain Name Server (DNS) implementation and management.
