Registry Manager

1 FTE / 35 Hours per week

Grade 7, £38,784 - £43,482
This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days per week onsite

The Registry Manager will lead the delivery of a high quality, student centred registry team across the student lifecycle, from enrolment to award, ensuring robust academic governance, regulatory compliance, and excellent service to students and staff. The role will oversee operational planning, people management, process improvement, oversight of the student record system, and effective partnership working across academic and professional services. The postholder will contribute to institutional projects and policy development.

Who we’re looking for:
• You will have a solid understanding of registry functions, from enrolment to assessment and award, and be comfortable working within regulatory frameworks such as OfS conditions, UKVI requirements, CMA guidance, and data protection legislation.
• Experience of managing teams, improving processes, and working collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues.
• An experienced professional who can lead complex student lifecycle operations with confidence, clarity, and a strong commitment to service excellence

What you’d be doing:
• You will oversee day to day operations across designated registry functions, ensuring effective processes around student records, enrolment, curriculum data, assessment, awards, examinations, and graduation.
• You will work closely with academic schools, professional services, and system specialists to maintain data integrity, deliver to published timetables, and support high quality decision making.
•You will lead and develop a team of staff and contribute to wider institutional projects and policy development.

You’ll need to enjoy:
• Collaborating with others to deliver seamless, student centred services that are accurate, compliant, and efficient.
• Solving problems and improving processes, using data and evidence to streamline workflows, enhance compliance, and embed best practice.
• Leading and developing people, building an inclusive, high performing team that works confidently through peak periods and operational change.
• Working to your values: we care about how people behave as well as what they achieve.

Where you’ll work:
In this role, you’ll be based in the Registry and Programme Support team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth.

Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will be required to maintain strong campus links and be available on-site at least three days per week.

Application Process:
