Immediate Opportunities for Tutors with Rhondda Council
We are seeking dedicated and motivated Tutors to commence work immediately. Successful candidates will support Primary and Secondary pupils across Rhondda in environments committed to delivering outstanding education and opportunities for all learners. About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic, proactive Tutors passionate about inspiring learners and maintaining high educational standards. Tutors will provide personalised support in core skills, study techniques, well-being, and pastoral care. A strong proficiency in Maths and Literacy is essential, as some pupils will be preparing for their GCSE examinations.
All tutoring sessions are delivered on a one-to-one basis. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure adherence to established processes within this tailored learning environment.
Key Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role
• Level 3 qualification or coaching certification related to education (desirable, but not essential)
• Experience in learning support roles, including skills development, pastoral care, and well-being support (desirable)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, with proven ability to manage challenging behaviours
• Demonstrated commitment to learner support and well-being, adopting an inclusive, learner-centred approach
• Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with young people, parents, external organisations, and academic staff
