Patient Administration Services
2 x Posts Available

We are seeking two experienced Band 6 Assistant Service Managers to join the Patient Administration Service. Both posts require strong operational leadership, hands-on management, and expert knowledge of RTT and PTL management.

ASM – Surgical Booked Admissions

This role will have responsibility for theSurgical Booked Admissions Team, ensuring patients are booked in line with clinical urgency and priority.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing and supporting a team responsible for surgical booked admissions
• Ensuring patients are booked in accordance with RTT standards and clinical priorities
• Working closely with clinical services to improve processes across the patient pathway
• Actively contributing to service improvement and pathway redesign
• Operating in a fast-paced environment to maximise theatre utilisation
• Maintaining oversight of PTLs and ensuring risks are identified and escalated appropriately

Being hands-on in day-to-day operational delivery to support service resilience

ASM – Outpatient Bookings and eRS

This role will be responsible forOutpatient (OPD) bookings, including the management ofeRS worklists and clinic template changes.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing a team responsible for OPD bookings and eRS worklists
• Ensuring timely and accurate booking of outpatient appointments
• Overseeing clinic template changes in collaboration with services
• Maintaining RTT compliance and effective PTL management
• Supporting the team operationally through hands-on leadership
• Ensuring staff are appropriately trained and developed
• Monitoring performance and addressing backlogs or capacity issues
