Summary
The Administrator will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Power Up! programme by independently managing core administrative functions, including referrals, caseloads and discharges, using a dedicated application and database. The post holder will support the development and delivery of multidisciplinary healthy lifestyle interventions, working under the guidance of the Service Manager, Clinical Lead, Dietitians and Physiotherapists. Using initiative and relevant experience, the Administrator will contribute to the development of course content and group programmes, helping to improve interventions in response to outcomes and participant feedback. The role involves organising and managing virtual programme delivery via a mobile application or telephone, alongside non-digital support provided through postal and telephone contact. Responsibilities also include data collection, chasing patients for information, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry. In addition, the Administrator may assist with organising, promoting and booking training packages and monthly drop-in sessions across neighbourhoods for professionals and the wider workforce, focusing on childhood obesity and weight management.

The Administrator for the Power Up! Children and Young People’s Tier 2 Weight Management Service provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of a multidisciplinary healthy lifestyle programme. The post holder will independently manage referrals, caseloads and discharges using a mobile application, databases and spreadsheets, ensuring timely, accurate and confidential record keeping. They will support MDT interventions by coordinating virtual and non-digital programme delivery via mobile applications, telephone and post, and by assisting with course content and group programme organisation under clinical guidance. The role includes regular data collection, patient follow-up, outcome monitoring and reporting. The Administrator will liaise with families, professionals and partner agencies, communicating sensitive information with empathy and cultural awareness. Additional responsibilities include organising community-based groups, supporting training and drop-in sessions, maintaining electronic systems, and contributing to service development, audit and promotion, ensuring high-quality, accessible weight management support.
