Summary


The post holder will provide administrative support to the Emergency Care, Medicine and Rehabilitation Services (EMRS) division at Homerton University Hospital.

The post-holder will be working as part of the service management team. In this context, Service management is responsible for ensuring that outpatient clinics in the various EMRS services are reliably available to meet national referral targets for RTT and Cancer pathways.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing admin duties within the division and audits to make sure the service is meeting its targets by carrying out regular validation reports to reflect the various PTLs involved.

• Provide administrative support to Service Managers in managing and organising clinics on a daily basis.
• Make changes to clinic schedules as required, including setting up new clinics and cancelling/rescheduling appointments.
• Provide administrative support to all areas within the division to cover gaps in service delivery.
• Ensure competency and effective use of IT systems (e.g. email, EPR, and other Trust software) relevant to service delivery.
• Always uphold patient confidentiality and comply with Trust policies and procedures.
• Support Service Managers in managing clinical activity, including planning around annual, study, and sick leave.
• Monitor and assist with non-RTT clinic pathways, including escalations, PTL (Patient Tracking List) validation, and booking management.
• Ensure timely booking of new patient referrals (e.g., ASIs).
• Monitor patient progress along RTT pathways, including regular PTL review and validation.
• Respond to RTT patient escalations and assist in booking patients from clinical measurement lists and GP referrals.
• Support non-RTT patient management, including escalations and validation of non-RTT PTLs.
• Support quarterly and ad-hoc validations of RTT and non-RTT pathways.
• Produce and submit accurate weekly and monthly reports of breaches and un-booked patients
• Support the Divisional Management Team in audits, data collection, and service improvement projects.
