Summary
An exciting opportunity to join our Band 6 Dietitian bank staff at Homerton Healthcare working in the vibrant and diverse borough of City and Hackney. We have an opportunity for a motivated dynamic Dietitian with excellent prioritisation and organisational skills to gain experience in a fast-paced environment with support from our friendly yet innovative and proactive service. The dietetic team sits within a busy acute therapy service team comprising of physiotherapists, OT, speech and language therapists and therapy assistants. The post-holder will provide nutritional input for a wide range of patients in an acute NHS hospital, and you will be part of well-coordinated, specialist multi-professional teams working closely with nursing and medical colleagues.
• Provide specialist dietetic assessment for a range of patients within acute inpatient service including, but not exclusive to, gastroenterology and surgical.
• Provide specialist dietetic intervention for patients with complex nutritional support needs on the medical and surgical wards.
• Adapt dietetic practice to suit needs of patient, service and location of intervention in the medical and surgical wards setting.
• Working alongside the team and line manager, participate in ongoing service evaluation and development.
