### Role Overview
The Senior Therapeutic Support Worker plays a key role in delivering trauma-informed, child-centred care to children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Grounded in the Ubuntu philosophy — *“I am because we are”* — the role combines direct care with leadership, mentoring, and modelling best practice within a therapeutic home.
### Shift Pattern
2 days on, 4 days off rolling rota, including sleep-ins. Shifts may include weekends and bank holidays.

### Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, safe, and nurturing therapeutic care, acting as a positive role model
* Create a warm, therapeutic home where children feel heard, respected, and valued
* Support, mentor, and develop staff through training and reflective practice
* Champion PACE and other therapeutic approaches
* Make child-centred decisions and confidently challenge poor practice
* Remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns and promote children’s safety and wellbeing
* Represent Ubuntu Group professionally at multi-agency meetings

### Education & Experience
* Minimum one year’s experience working with children or young people
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence

###Induction Process
All applicants will be required to complete a full two week induction to begin on Monday 19th January 2026 to include both face to face and online training and shadow shifts.
