Brunswick House is located in the area of Wednesbury, in the West Midlands. Our home is located in a suburban area, off a main road. The service offers residential support for five adults, including those with a learning disability, people on the autism spectrum, and individuals with mental health needs. We specialise in supporting individuals who may be stepping down from a hospital setting, have complex needs, or require behavioural support. Our aim is to support residents to gain the skills they need to live active and fulfilled lives in the community.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.
Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development
Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership

Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
What you'll bring to the role
