We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Housing Services Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.14 - £28.28 per hour
Summary:
The Universal Housing Services Officer acts as a frontline contact for residents, handling a wide range of housing-related enquiries across phone, email, website, CRM and digital apps. You will promote early intervention, ensure accurate data management, support digital inclusion, and provide high-quality tenancy advice.
Responsibilities:
Act as part of an agile front door service responding quickly and professionally to customer enquiries.
Use modern workflow systems to process service requests, enquiries, payments and transactional tasks efficiently.
Update systems and documentation to ensure all data is accurate and compliant.
Promote and support digital and self-serve options, encouraging channel shift.
Carry out robust assessments, recording risks and vulnerabilities and escalating where required.
Contribute to service improvement projects to streamline customer interactions.
Essentials:
Experience providing advice and practical assistance to the public within a social housing, public sector or similar setting.
Experience working with multicultural communities.
Knowledge of housing services in rental or leasehold sectors
Confident with IT systems including Microsoft 365, databases and spreadsheets.
Strong customer focus with empathy and understanding of diverse needs.
Ability to collect, share and maintain accurate data within GDPR requirements
