Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting students to overcome barriers to learning? Do you thrive in a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment?
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our specialist school in Quidenham, Norwich.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people. You will be instrumental in creating an enabling environment, working closely with the class teacher and our onsite therapy teams.
Your primary focus will be supporting students aged 11 to 16 years to actively engage with their social and academic environment. The students primarily present with:

Communication and interaction difficulties

Specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia

Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

Working alongside the Class Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities.

Supporting students individually and in small groups.

Helping to manage student behaviour and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

Collaborating with the therapy teams (Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, etc.) to integrate therapeutic goals into daily learning.

Contributing to the preparation of resources and the learning environment.
Requirements
-
Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience/qualification).

Experience or a strong desire to work with students who have special educational needs (SEN).

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A positive, patient, and resilient approach.
