Nature of the Job Role: To empower, aid and support me, a 35 year old, full-time wheelchair user who has a moderate hearing loss (which is brought up to normal hearing levels via the use of a pair of digital hearing aids) and has acute social anxiety. I have some co-ordination issues and a speech impairment. I hold a bachelor degree in Applied Computing since graduating in 2012.As for hobbies and interests, I enjoy reading mostly books in the political thrillers and urban fantasy genres, watching certain sci-fi and fantasy films and tv shows, keeping up with the latest tech news and listening to podcasts.Hours of Work: Six hours per week.Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hrQualifications and Experience:Essential: Caring and positive demeanour, DBS Barring Service Check and a full clean UK Driving Licence, not allergic to household pets, no technical knowledge required - but ability to follow instructions desirable, good hand-eye co-ordination;Main DutiesSupporting/enabling me with:(A) Typing, plugging in cables, using small hand tools;(B) Installing software;(C) Exploring and setting up automations for home and office;(D) Learning and developing skills in robotics, artificial intelligence and various programming languages;(E) Re-learning and developing skills in web technologies;(F) Getting involved in local tech communities, attending any conferences and other events of interest;(G) Socialising with friends and meeting family members as desired;(H) Attending any health care appointments and other appointments as required;
