Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Are you passionate about inclusive practice and skilled at building effective partnerships? If so, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Statutory SEND Service as Practice Lead – SEND and Partnerships.
This is a pivotal role, leading on the development, quality assurance and delivery of high-quality SEND services across Hull. You will:

Lead and coordinate the SEND Outreach Partnership, embedding Hull’s graduated approach through a tiered model of service delivery.
Quality assure commissioned SEND services, Resource Bases and SEN Units, ensuring effective practice, capacity and value for money.
Support statutory SEND colleagues, enhancing compliance, workforce development and practice standards across the service.
Act as a key decision maker in SEND panels, including assessments, EHCP decisions and tribunal triage.
Champion inclusive practice across schools, services and the wider partnership to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

About You
We are looking for someone who can bring:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in education and SEND.
Extensive experience in statutory SEND processes, including assessments, reviews, tribunals and inclusive provision.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop others.
Excellent communication, report writing and analytical skills.
A collaborative approach, with the ability to influence and work effectively with schools, families and multi-agency partners.
Up-to-date knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
