Aircraft Disassembly Technician (218jc) – St Athan - £28,500 to £34,500 + Benefits

My client is looking for a dependable, detail-focused Aircraft Disassembly Technician to join a growing technical team delivering high-quality aircraft disassembly projects. This role is perfect for UK military veterans who thrive in structured environments and understand the importance of safety, teamwork, and precision under pressure.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

If you have hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or equipment handling or have developed transferable skills through military service this role could be your next challenge.

What You’ll Do
• Work as part of a technical team to safely disassemble aircraft and components according to customer requirements
• Interpret technical manuals and engineering instructions to ensure efficient and accurate removal of parts
• Label, document, and log all removed components clearly for maintenance and logistics teams
• Identify damaged components and raise concerns promptly
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace to high safety and quality standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity goals throughout all activities

Who they are looking for:
• Strong attention to detail with excellent hand skills
• Experience in aircraft maintenance, disassembly, or engineering (military maintenance experience is highly valued)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
• Professional “can do” attitude with a strong work ethic
• Good physical fitness and commitment to safety and quality standards

Why This Role Appeals to Veterans
This is a role where discipline, attention to detail, technical competence, and teamwork matter all skills that are second nature to those who’ve served. You’ll be stepping into a hands-on position where your operational experience can make a real difference and where safety and precision are valued above all else.

In return they are offing a good starting salary between £28,500 to £34,500 with 25 days holiday, company pension, 3% employer and 5% employee, possible bonus scheme, depending on personal and company goals, as well as continuing personnel development within the company.
