Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Cleansing Officer to join our Facilities & Environment team. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of environmental cleanliness and sustainability. As an Environmental Cleansing Officer, you will coordinate and implement effective cleaning and waste management strategies to minimize the ecological footprint of our operations. You will work closely with a diverse team to promote environmentally friendly practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will conduct regular assessments of our facilities, develop cleaning schedules, and collaborate with contractors and staff to enhance environmental performance. Your efforts will contribute significantly to fostering a safe, clean, and sustainable environment for our employees and the community at large. Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective cleaning and waste management programs to enhance environmental sustainability.
Monitor and assess the cleanliness and environmental performance of facilities regularly.
Collaborate with team members and contractors to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct training sessions for staff on best practices for waste management and environmental hygiene.
Prepare reports and documentation related to cleanliness audits and sustainability initiatives.
Lead initiatives aimed at reducing waste generation and promoting recycling across all facilities.
Act as a liaison between various departments to promote environmentally-friendly practices and raise awareness regarding cleanliness. Consider area-specific needs in service delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in environmental cleansing, facilities management, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations/orders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to analyze data and develop reports that inform decision-making regarding cleanliness.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
