If so, then this is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your organisational skills and play your part in saving nature!We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Administrator to join the Global Conservation Directorate. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide vital administrative support across several key teams with time split between Global Species Recovery, Ecology and Conservation Science teams.Although this role is primarily home based, there will be a requirement to attend the RSPB’s headquarters in Sandy, Bedfordshire on a regular basis. We envisage that the successful applicant will be based within a one hour commute from Sandy. Additionally, occasional travel to other locations may be necessary to provide in-person support for meetings and events.You will play a central role in keeping our teams running smoothly, working closely with the Principal Administrator (Global Species, and Ecology) and the Senior Administrator (Conservation Science). Your responsibilities will include:Coordinating travel and accommodation (including international travel)Processing vehicle hire requestsArranging and supporting meetings online and occasionally in personAssist with management of IT equipmentSupport to deliver events and workshopsManaging diaries and schedulesAdministration of financial processes and procurementUsing Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint to keep everything organised and accessibleWe’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, flexible, and solutions-focused. Essential skills, knowledge and experience:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and tools, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and PowerPointWorking knowledge of SharePoint OnlineKnowledge of financial terminology and processesKnowledge of document management and team collaboration toolsProactive approach to problem solving.Able to communicate and engage effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, video, email or in personAble to organise and coordinate all aspects of meetings and events logisticsAble to prioritise tasks effectively, particularly when under pressure from competing prioritiesExperience of working in an office or customer care environment in an administrative roleA minimum of 5 GCSE’s, including Maths and EnglishDesirable skills, knowledge and experience:Interest in and knowledge of conservation and the natural worldExperience of working with volunteers Additional Information:This is a fixed-term role until 17 July 2026, part-time for 30 hours per week.
