As a hybrid worker based from home and the Civic Square offices in Motherwell, you will be part of a team with a remit to design, develop and maintain the Council’s ICT infrastructure. Supporting the Council to meet the needs of its internal customers utilising and developing IT solutions that make best use of technology to provide efficient, secure and effective services. This post is within the Telecomms Team within the Infrastructure Section, assisting with the scheduling and planning of works that support the IT communication infrastructure and the needs of its internal customers.

With an SVQ3, HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject you will have some work experience in an ICT infrastructure support role, be a good communicator who can work collegiately and can interpret customer requirements. Experience of modern digital office tools is required as is a basic knowledge of ICT infrastructure technologies, along with previous experience of supporting the delivery of projects, planning and scheduling.

You shall have good knowledge and proficiency in some of the following areas: ICT Project Support functions, liaising with customers SharePoint, Office365 and Cloud Infrastructure; and experience with planning, change and service introduction.

As a developing IT Professional you will be able to demonstrate problem solving skills, be self-motivated and organised, be able to work to targets and react appropriately and quickly to challenges. Good oral and written communication skills are also essential.
