Summary

Our client Scottish Power are currently recruting for Workplace Administrators to join the team on a contract basis.

Postocde is ML1 4UR and this will be a hybrid role.


A member of the Transmission Operations Substation Maintenance Section business who will support all aspects of Clerical, administration and purchasing for the department. This will include the preparation of regular reports, scorecard etc. In addition, support the work programming of the Transmission fitting and overhead line staff in conjunction with the Schedulers.

Accountabilities
• Provide a central contact point in respect of the work programme and outage plan
• Assist in the building of work programmes with Engineers and Team Leaders
• Support the Outage planning Scheduler to drive efficiencies in the work programme by actively managing the process and looking for improvements.
• Optimises the workload of each resource to obtain maximum productivity within the work programme
• Supporting the weekly and daily maintenance of the resource plan and work programme
• Maintain the outage plan for Transmission Operations and search for opportunities to combine work activities/defect management.
• Utilise SAP to identify potential work to maximise outage opportunities and drive productivity
• Production and delivery of reports and management information within agreed timescales
• Implementation of work programme project administration controls.
• Manage the Purchasing requirement for the department
• Liaison with external suppliers and other business areas.
• Contribute as an effective team member of Transmission Operations team.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained in all activities performed.

• Working knowledge of Business IT systems

• Developed Customer Service skills
• Familiarity with MS suite of systems

Minimum Criteria (mandatory)
•Experience in a multi-stranded project support/co-ordination role or equivalent role
•PC literate – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
•General knowledge of the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Businesses activities.
•Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard
•Significant relevant experience
•Computer literacy – e.g. Microsoft Office suite
