Summary

The centre of your role as the Directorate’s Exploitation and Engagement Lead will be stakeholder engagement and liaison, leading on the Directorate’s narrative. The Information Directorate is at the centre of transforming the British Army into the modern, digital and data centric force the nation needs, and NATO wants. We have a wide range of stakeholders including ministers, defence, government and industry. We have a major role in international events such as the Defence and Security Equipment International exhibition, where we must demonstrate the transformation that is underway. As well as established routine internal and external engagement, the role is responsible for bespoke requirements such as delivering industry days, directorate input into recruitment events and Defence level events promoting the work of the directorate. You will be responsible for this engagement and exploitation activity.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate internal engagement activity within the Information Directorate, supporting reputation of the directorate by promoting the purpose and work conducted within the Directorate
Deliver all engagement activity across the directorate, supporting both technical and generalist customers
Proactively maintain working relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across Army, Defence and Industry to understand actions required of the Directorate, addressing issues as they arise with a view to providing coherent, timely and accurate outputs
Be the internal liaison to cohere the required messaging with Army Exploitation and Engagement for narrative purposes as well as Army Secretariat for policy matters
Manage the delivery of internal directorate Exploitation and Engagement such as town halls
Proactively seek out and exploit Directorate good news stories and communicate them through the appropriate Army Subject Matter Experts & Stakeholders
Support in delivering Directorate input into Defence and Industry events such as DSEI, Industry days and CS recruiting events
Support in the delivery of products such as presentations, leaflets, videos, articles and blogs, leading on the ownership of the content to enable Army Exploitation and Engagement to delivery required products and artefacts
Support the Chief of Staff in co-ordinating and cohering wider Strategy pillar activity and Directorate level outputs
Provide effective line management to the Higher Executive Officer Exploitation and Engagement
