Summary
About the role
Under the direction of the Admissions Operations Manager for Enquiries and Admissions Service, you will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient admissions service, considering and making decisions on applications in line with policies and requirements.
You will be required to support the Admissions Operations Manager in maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of admissions data held on the University Website, the University’s Student Record Systems and UCAS interface.
You will develop and maintain a defined area of expertise in order to offer effective support to applicants and their families by developing and maintaining a breadth of skills to support flexible deployment as required.
You will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholder including faculties and other directorates and departments within the University in relation to applications.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
For this role, you will need to be on site 4 days a week. Although we can acommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.

What we’re looking for
A proactive and enthusiastic individual is required to join the team with responsibility for managing and making decisions on applications, assisting with data tasks and supporting the customer focus of the department.
It is essential that the post holder has good IT skills, excellent communication skills, experience of working within an office or customer focused environment and evidence of being able to pay clear attention to detail. Working in a fast paced, high volume environment would be advantageous and an understanding of or experience in the Higher Education sector is desirable.
You will have:
• Numeracy and literacy at secondary education level (or equivalent demonstrable experience)
• Good working knowledge/training of Microsoft Packages
• Office administration
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Experience of working in a fast paced high volume environment.
