Inquiries & Decisions Officer needed in North London Paying £29.61 per hr ref 1562256

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-focused Inquiries & Decisions Officer to support individuals and families facing homelessness. You’ll assess applications, make decisions under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and help reduce the backlog of homeless cases.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assess and determine homelessness applications (singles and families).
    • Provide empathetic, trauma-informed support and advice.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies (e.g. Social Care, MARAC, hospitals).
    • Support vulnerable groups including rough sleepers, care leavers, and survivors of domestic abuse.
    • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.
    • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement.
    • Respond to complaints, councillor enquiries, and Ombudsman requests.
