Salary within the range of £27,027 to £40,872 per annum, plus market forces supplement of £5,781 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience

We are currently seeking a new Lecturer in Civil Engineering to be part of our fantastic and rapidly growing/developing Directorate in Engineering, Construction and Building Technology. Our Civil Engineering lecturing team plays a critical role leading the Civil Engineering students through their degree programme.
Ideally, the candidate will be able to teach a range of subjects. We would love to hear from you if you have a specialism in areas such as design, surveying, technologies, soil mechanics, hydraulics, geotechnics, sustainability. You would also be expected to support and supervise dissertations at undergraduate level.
Ideally, you will have experience of teaching, however the college will support those moving from industry into teaching. Suffolk New College offers teacher training courses and mentor support for those who are stepping into teaching.
You will need to be organised with the ability to multi-task and communicate with a range of
audiences including working closely with the Head for Higher Level Skills and Director for the area.
Key features of the role include preparing learning materials, teaching across a range of modules, preparing students for assessment, organising enrolment, and administrative tasks that are essential for the smooth running of the programme. You will also liaise with our Industry Advisory Board, and engage with potential new students at events.
This post is based at our Ipswich campus, however, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site
therefore you may be required to work at and travel between other campuses.
