Crynodeb

Weapons Project Manager 2 (WPM2) is part of the Nuclear Enterprise Portfolio team within MAIC, which looks across several future capabilities and projects for the Coulport site. WPM2 will have specific responsibility for oversight of the development of the outer berth of the Exlosives Handling Jetty (EHJ) for appropriate employment. As such, the WPM2 will oversee workstreams that will increase the availability of berths to enhance submarine programme resilience. The WPM2 will also support other projects within the team, shifting priorities as required to help acheive the highest priority task at any given time. The WPM2 will provide extensive liaison with external organisations to compile the necessary information about the projects so that detailed plans can be produced. Work priorities are established by the Superintendent, via the Nuclear Enterprise Portfolio Officer (NEPO). The WPM2 will regularly brief both the superintendent and NEPO on the development and status of project plans.

Tasks related to this will are likely to include:

1. Develop and maintain project plans for the introduction of new capabilities to Coulport.

2. Maintain a central MOD Authority Intelligent Customer (MAIC) view of projects, studies and assessments as they impact or might be impacted by Coulport equities.

3. Coordinate, oversee and integrate project activity into Business as Usual (BAU).

4. Support the development of Business Cases to shape investment decisions.

5. Liaise with SALUS on allocation of space for relevant infrastructure development at Coulport.

6. Work with DIO to develop designs for potential future infrastructure.

7. Manage assumptions, risks, budgets and report progress for projects within the portfolio.

8. Track capabilities as they are introduced to service, and retired from service, so that operational requirements are satisfied throughout the transition.

9. Brief SADC all relevant updates across the various projects to ensure they can feed up to HMNB Clyde and wider senior stakeholders.

10. Represent NEPO-C at meetings as required, to support delivery of the Coulport portfolio of activities.

11. Support in the development, maintenance and communication of pertinent programme and project information, to ensure that the portfolio deliverables meet senior customer needs.
