Job Description
Falkirk Council is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and visionary leader to join our Housing & Communities Service as Senior Manager (Housing Operations). This is a key strategic role with responsibility for delivering vital housing services that directly support our tenants and strengthen the resilience and sustainability of our communities.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across the Council’s Housing Operations, Housing Needs, Asset & Investment, and Systems Development & Service Support functions. You will lead the delivery of a wide range of essential services, including tenancy and estate management, homelessness services, housing allocations and resettlement, repair and void management, asset and investment planning, and the management of our housing ICT systems and performance frameworks. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused services that meet both statutory and strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for managing significant capital budgets through the Housing Investment Programme and ensuring our housing assets are maintained to high standards. Working in partnership with senior officers, elected members, and key external stakeholders, you will shape and implement housing strategies that align with the Council’s long-term goals and priorities.
We are looking for a candidate with a housing qualification and a degree in a relevant discipline. You should have substantial senior management experience in a complex organisation, with a proven track record in leading housing operations, delivering strategic change, and managing large teams and budgets. Strong leadership, financial management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of Falkirk’s tenants and residents. If you are a forward-thinking leader with a passion for public service and housing excellence, we encourage you to apply and help us shape the future of housing in Falkirk.
