Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Community Connections Advisor - Grade D to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who have a deep commitment to fostering community engagement and building meaningful relationships within diverse populations. The Community Connections Advisor will be responsible for identifying community needs, organizing outreach initiatives, and facilitating collaborations between local organizations and individuals. This position requires exceptional communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people's lives. As a Community Connections Advisor, you will be the bridge that connects various stakeholders—residents, community leaders, and service providers—to create a thriving, supportive environment. You will engage with community members to gather insights, assess their needs, and develop solutions that enhance community well-being. Utilizing your expertise, you will promote community resources, ensure equitable access to services, and advocate for the needs and voices of the community. Responsibilities
Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage residents and local organizations.
Identify and assess community needs through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
Facilitate workshops, events, and forums that promote community engagement and resource-sharing.
Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including non-profits, businesses, and government agencies.
Promote and publicize community resources and programs to ensure accessibility for all residents.
Collaborate with internal teams to align community initiatives with organizational goals.
Provide support and guidance to community members seeking services or resources, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive approach.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, community development, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement or a similar role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse groups.
Proficiency in community organizing techniques and outreach methods.
Knowledge of local community resources and social services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects effectively.

Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £13.47
Location: Plymouth, South West England
