Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Community Connections Advisor, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.47 - £16.31 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Community Connections Advisor to support the administration of the Household Support Fund. This role is key to ensuring vulnerable households receive essential support efficiently. The successful candidate will have strong administrative and IT skills, particularly in Excel and CRM systems, and will work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies. A strong customer service ethos, excellent communication, and organisational abilities are essential.
Responsibilities:
Administer and process orders and payments related to the Household Support Fund in line with council procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Excel spreadsheets and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Liaise with internal departments such as Finance/Creditors to facilitate smooth processing of transactions.
Communicate effectively with external agencies, service users, and partner organisations.
Respond to inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
Requirements:
Proven administrative experience in a public sector or customer-facing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (e.g., data entry, formulas, filtering).
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or similar databases.
Experience in processing orders, payments, or working with finance-related systems.
