The ideal candidate will possess a valid HGV license and have experience driving heavy vehicles under varying traffic and weather conditions. Your excellent time management skills and attention to detail will be essential in planning efficient routes and performing pre- and post-trip inspections on the vehicle. Responsibilities
Operate and drive HGVs in compliance with road traffic regulations.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
Plan and navigate efficient routes for deliveries, minimizing travel time and maximizing productivity.
Load and unload goods safely and securely, ensuring all cargo is properly documented and handled with care.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by company policies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies during transport operations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Requirements
Valid HGV Grade E driving license with appropriate endorsements and qualifications.
Proven experience driving HGVs and knowledge of road safety and regulations.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to identify mechanical issues.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems and mapping software.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
