This is a Fixed Term post until June 2026 working full-time.

The role at Swansea University will be within the Dementias Platform UK Data Portal (DPUK) & Associated Hubs project, which is part of a £53million Medical Research Council initiative to create the innovative Data Portal for Dementias research.

The successful candidate will assist the Data Acquisition Officer & Head of Programme Development in liaising with data providers to contribute data to the Data Portal & Associated Hubs. Key tasks include:
1. Assisting the Acquisition officer – building relationships with data owners, assist in the Data Acquisition processes, addressing queries, and help facilitate data upload between the owners and our technical team
2. Data Deposit Contracts – liaising with data owners, their organisation, our team and legal department to secure the fully executed contracts, aiding governance activities and ensuing auditable management of the documents
3. Meetings –Assist the Data Acquisition officer with scheduling meetings and minute taking. While creating, collating, surfacing and storing documentation appropriately.
4. Documentation – help maintain the documentation libraries and our comprehensive project management tracking system, ensuring all activities are documented and updated on our systems.
5. Key Contact – act as a point of contact for our existing data providers, addressing queries, and helping surface data to show the impact and use of their datasets within the Data Portal, and assisting with study specific requirements.
6. Metadata Cataloguing – assisting with organising the DPUK metadata with the Data Acquisition officer and Data Manager
7. Work with the Operations Co-coordinator to ensure smooth transitioning of newly acquired datasets are surfaced to the applications team
