SEN Class Teachers - SEMH School | Tooting, Southwest London
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting three full-time SEN Class Teachers to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Tooting, Southwest London. These roles involve delivering a range of core subjects-such as English, Maths, and Science-to small classes of students with additional needs.
- Role: SEN Class Teachers (Primary or Secondary - confident teaching across all year groups and subjects)
- Start Date: September 2025 (Immediate trials/interviews available)
- Contract Type: Long-term with the potential to become permanent
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Location: Tooting, Southwest London
- Pay: Paid according to your teaching scale
- Parking: On-site parking available
This is a specialist school catering to boys aged 5-19 with SEMH needs. The school focuses on providing a nurturing and structured environment, with an emphasis on emotional wellbeing, therapeutic support, and personalised learning pathways.
- Qualified teachers confident in delivering core subjects at the primary level
- A creative and adaptive teaching approach suited to SEN learners
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and SEMH support
- QTS (or an equivalent UK teaching qualification)
- Experience in SEN, SEMH, PRUs, or alternative education provisions
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce)
- Two recent and relevant professional references
- Primary, Secondary, and SEN-trained teachers
- Educators passionate about inclusive education
- Teachers experienced in SEN or those looking to transition into specialist SEN settings
