SEN Teaching Assistants
We are working with a state of the art specialist school in Barnet to recruit four experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for September 2025
The school supports students with complex needs including PMLD SLD and Autism Spectrum Conditions and is known for its outstanding facilities and nurturing approach to education
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent 1 to 1 and small group support for students with complex learning and medical needs
* Work closely with teachers therapists and wider support staff to deliver EHCP targets
* Support students with personal care sensory activities and structured communication strategies
* Foster independence confidence and engagement through tailored routines and specialist resources
* Support learning in dedicated sensory rooms therapy areas and outdoor environments
* Contribute to tracking progress and participate in review meetings and daily reports
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
* SEN experience in either a primary or secondary school setting
* A calm patient and proactive attitude to working with high needs pupils
* Knowledge of PMLD SLD or ASC and experience with PECS Makaton or other communication methods
* Confidence supporting students with complex behavioural or medical needs
* Strong teamworking and a commitment to inclusion and student development

* Well connected by local bus routes and rail services
* Easily commutable from nearby North London boroughs
