Salary: £105–£110 per day | Full-time, Term-time only

Do you have specialist communication skills in PECS, Makaton, and BSL? This inclusive Camden secondary school is looking for a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with complex communication needs.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in this well-resourced and ‘Good’ graded school, you’ll join a dynamic SEN provision, helping students access learning through alternative communication systems. This role is ideal for experienced SEN support professionals who thrive in a hands-on, collaborative environment and want to make a lasting difference.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Delivering 1:1 and small group support for students using PECS, Makaton, and BSL
• Supporting communication and engagement for students with ASD, hearing loss, or speech difficulties
• Adapting classwork and facilitating inclusive access to learning
• Working closely with the SENCO, therapists, and class teachers
• Promoting independence, emotional regulation, and academic progress
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant For this Camden School:
• Confident user of PECS, Makaton, and BSL (minimum BSL Level 2 preferred)
• Previous experience supporting students with communication needs
• Patient, flexible, and collaborative in your support style
• Skilled in building trust with students who may be non-verbal or have high needs
• Committed to full-time work and passionate about inclusive education
